Afternoon Mom,
Just got done mowing the yard. Shouldn’t have to do that too many more times this year…I hope. This morning I was thinking about how we’re supposed to help one another whether we know the person we are helping or not. I have tried to do that but it takes time and effort that I feel I do not have. I don’t want to turn this into a promotional add for my website, but you never knew that I even had a website, because I didn’t create it until this August and you’ve been gone over a year now.
For a few years I had wished I could find an online community that extended into the world we live in—a community where people help one another with little things or big things. Where no one charges for their service to another and where nothing is expected in return. I want to make friends that I know would offer their help without feeling as though it’s a huge inconvenience to them and that they really don’t want to do it.
My website is www.myNeedyNation.com. I’ve mentioned it on Facebook a few times and have started forums and a blog on the site but it’s hard to get people to actually look at it and think about what it could be. Everyone is stuck on Facebook which I’m not looking to replace at all; I just want people to take a few minutes to think about whether they would be willing to give a little time and possibly effort to help someone else, answer questions in the forum, ask questions, ask for help with finding information or ask for someone to offer their expertise in an area.
It can be frustrating, but I think that if I keep with it and keep mentioning it without spamming people and if people would talk about it a bit then word would spread and this online nation could grow to be a true blessing to many. We’re going to Vicki’s parents to visit for a bit before it gets late. I’ll talk to you later.
